Because stress can weaken your immune system and make it harder for you to remain healthy, try these relaxation tips:
- Use a breathing method
- Practice meditation or yoga
- Get more sleep
- Start an exercise routine
- Try a new hobby
Don’t be afraid to talk to your doctor or nurse about your feelings and the amount of stress in your life. Let them know if fear is keeping you from making decisions about your treatment or if you are having conflict in your relationships.
Mindfulness meditation and yoga can help you combat stress, as well as improve your mood and quality of life.
