A Cause for All
Cancer touches almost everyone. While we’ve made great strides in cancer research, there is still so much to be done.
About 24 million people will be diagnosed with cancer by 2035. During the next two decades, cancer deaths are expected to rise from 8.2 million a year to 13 million.*
The Time is Now
The good news is that we live in an exciting time for cancer research. With increased knowledge and new technological advances at our disposal today, scientists possess the power to accelerate the pace of progress like never before.
MD Anderson remains a pivotal contributor to this acceleration. We operate the largest cancer research program in the United States, testing research on approximately one-third of new cancer drugs approved by the FDA between 2008-2012. Our work impacts the standard of cancer care across the globe, improving treatment options in every local community.
While MD Anderson is uniquely positioned to continue making tremendous strides against the disease, we cannot do it alone.
