Children's Cancer Hospital eCookbook
Nutrition plays a key role in the lives of our pediatric cancer patients and survivors. Childhood cancer survivors are already at a higher risk of developing heart disease, diabetes and secondary cancers as a result of treatment, so proper nutrition can play a large role in reducing these risks.
Likewise, healthy families who adopt a nutritious, balanced diet can help reduce their child's risk of getting cancer or other health conditions as an adult.
A healthy cooking resource for families
To encourage better eating habits, the Children's Cancer Hospital developed @TheTable Cookbook - an online database of healthy, easy-to-prepare recipes for families.
These recipes are kid-friendly and approved by MD Anderson registered dietitians.
