Appointments and Referrals

Getting an appointment with us is easy. You can request an appointment directly, with no physician referral, through our patient access specialists. There are two ways to reach a specialist:

• By phone at 713-792-5410 or 888-543-2435
• Online through the self-referral form. Parents who complete this form will be contacted by a patient access specialist within 48 hours.

Whether you contact us online or by phone, your patient access specialist will help set up your child’s appointment. This includes assisting with registration, collecting demographic information and medical records and scheduling new patient appointments.

Physician questions and referrals

Doctors who want to send a patient to MD Anderson should fill out our physician referral form.

If you’re a physician who wants to speak with an MD Anderson pediatric oncologist about a possible case of cancer, please call the Patient Access Center at 713-792-5410 or 888-543-2435. Physicians can expect doctor-to-doctor conversations and initial diagnostic recommendations.
