Triple-negative metastatic breast cancer is being studied for better ways to diagnose and treat this rare disease. Studies using PARP inhibitors to prevent tumors from recurring after DNA damage caused by chemotherapy, and extending the genetic screening criteria for certain patients is showing promise.
