U.S. News and World Report's Best Hospitals
U.S. News & World Report's "Best Hospitals" rankings named MD Anderson the nation's top hospital for cancer care. The institution has been named one of the nation's top two hospitals for cancer care every year since the survey began in 1990.

The institution continued to maintain its "High Performing" rating for common adult procedures and conditions for colon cancer and lung cancer. It also received "High Performing" ratings for the three newly-added common adult procedures and conditions of ovarian cancer, prostate cancer and uterine cancer.
U.S. News & World Report's rankings are based on a complex set of factors, including a reputational survey of board-certified physician specialists around the nation, nurse-to-patient ratio, advanced technologies and, increasingly, clinical data such as patient outcomes and processes of care.
