Julie Segovia, MSN, RNC - Director of Clinical Services

Julie Segovia is the director of clinical services at the Children's Cancer Hospital. She is responsible for providing strategic leadership for the Children's Cancer Hospital, including all aspects of clinical operations, nursing practice, professional development, customer service, finance, human resources and quality outcome management. She has been at MD Anderson for the past three years, and her clinical experience is in both adult critical care and neonatal intensive care. Segovia has held leadership roles for 11 years in both pediatric and adult settings at academic medical center institutions. 

Segovia holds her Master of Science in Clinical Leadership and Health Systems Administration from the University of Texas and obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Saskatchewan. She is a member of the American Nurses Association and American Organization of Nurse Executives. Segovia is married with two children and enjoys rock climbing and playing the piano, having been formally trained at the Royal Conservatory of Music.

Tracy Cimo, MSN, RN - Associate Director of Clinical Nursing

Tracy Cimo is the associate director for clinical nursing for the George Foreman Pediatric and Adolescent Inpatient Unit. Cimo has over three years of leadership experience in women’s and children’s services lines. Her clinical experience in pediatrics is as both a clinical nurse and nurse educator. Cimo obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Woman’s University and her Master of Science in Clinical Leadership and Health Systems Administration from The University of Texas. 

In her spare time Cimo loves spending time with her two boys as well as reading and traveling. She is looking forward to working with patients, families, and staff to lead exceptional nurses in extraordinary practice to contribute to the Children’s Cancer Hospital goal of eliminating cancer in children.

Mae Reyer, BSN, RN - Patient Care Nurse Manager

Mae Reyer is the Patient Care Nurse Manager for the Robin Bush Child and Adolescent Clinic and the Pediatric Ambulatory Treatment Center. She has been with MD Anderson since January 2005. Reyer has clinical experience in pediatric intensive care nursing at large academic medical center institutions. She holds her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas Medical Branch and is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Nursing.

Sheranda Jones, MS, RNC - Assistant Nurse Manager

Sheranda Jones is an assistant nurse manager for the George Foreman Pediatric and Adolescent Inpatient Unit, primarily on the evening shift. Jones has 18 years of leadership experience in the military and five years of experience as a clinical educator and staff nurse. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and a Master of Science in Nursing Education from Texas Woman’s University. 

In August 2010, Jones will complete a Master of Science in Health Systems Management from Texas Woman’s University and begin the doctoral program in Nursing Science. Jones enjoys reading and shopping in her spare time and spending time with friends and loved ones. She will wed her best friend of 10 years in a private ceremony in Oahu, Hawaii this November.

Vivian Aljahdhami, BSN, RN, CPON, CPN - Assistant Nurse Manager

Vivian Aljahdhami is an assistant nurse manager for the George Foreman Pediatric and Adolescent Inpatient Unit, primarily on the night shift. Aljahdhami has worked in the unit since 2005 and has 15 years of clinical experience in many pediatric settings around the world. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in Manila and is currently in the Master of Science in Nursing in Leadership and Management program at Walden University. 

Caring for children battling with cancer is probably the most challenging experience in her nursing career, but Aljahdhami envisions spending the rest of her nursing career at the Children’s Cancer Hospital. She was born and raised in the Philippines. Aljahdhami is married and blessed with a daughter, and in her spare time, she loves to garden and travel.
