TXSS (Texas Single-Cell and Spatial) Weekly Seminar Series
The CPRIT ASG core organizes a weekly seminar series on Wednesdays from 4 to 5 p.m. at MD Anderson Cancer Center that focuses on research related to single cell and spatial genomics.
The seminar series is open to all researchers in the Texas Medical Center (TMC) and includes attendees and speakers from Baylor, University of Houston, Texas A&M, Houston Methodist and Texas Children’s Hospital.
To inquire about joining the mailing list to receive a Zoom link for these meetings, or if you are interested presenting your single cell research, please contract Ryan Mulqueen (RMulqueen@mdanderson.org)
Gulf Coast Consortium (GCC) for Single Cell and Spatial Omics
The GCC is a cluster of researchers across the Texas Medical Center (TMC) institutes who are interested in developing and applying single cell and spatial genomic technologies for research applications.
The GCC organizes a yearly annual symposium and networking activities and has regular meetings with members across the TMC. The GCC is chaired by Rui Chen (Baylor) and Nicholas Navin (MD Anderson).
For more information, please visit the GCC Single Cell Omics website.
Single Cell and Spatial Data Analysis Workshop
We organized an annual in-person Single Cell and Spatial Omics Data Analysis workshop for about 30 scientists each year that runs for three days in the TMC. Admission into the workshop requires a one-page application to apply. The workshop includes hands-on training in methods used to analyze spatial transcriptomic data and single cell RNA and DNA datasets and lectures by experts in the field.
Updated requirements will be posted here and emailed out the Gulf Coast Consortium mailing list when the workshop applications opens each year. General application requirements are listed below.
Applicant Eligibility: Applications are open to students, postdocs, fellows, staff, principal investigators and others. Trainees (student, postdocs, fellows) at GCC (Gulf Coast Consortium) institutions will be given preference. Beginners are welcome. However, they should complete an R programming online course first, and basic unix/linux experience is strongly suggested.
This workshop is currently supported by our Grant CPRIT Advanced Spatial Genomics Core grant and the Gulf Coast Consortium Single Cell Omics Group.
