All service requests will be conducted through the web portal in iLab
- Use MD Anderson credentials to login to your iLab account to initiate the service request of interest
- To request genomic services, please click the “Request Services” tab
- To schedule imaging on the Illumina iScan, please click the “Schedule Equipment” tab
- Users will be charged for the number of chips scanned and not instrument time

The PGC Microarray Services provide a full range of high content (whole-genome or targeted), high-throughput profiling of genotypes, gene expression and DNA methylation to facilitate human genomic studies of molecular alterations and diseases.
The PGC Microarray Service pipeline includes sample quality check, sample preparation, target hybridization, BeadChip imaging and data analysis using GenomeStudio. Contact PGC facility for more details on types of services available, sample requirement, workflow, pricing and timeline.
Many of arrays described below have add-on capacity allowing semi-custom design.
Infinium Global Screening Array-24
An economical next-generation global genotyping array that combines multi-ethnic genome-wide content, curated clinical research variants, and quality control (QC) markers.

Infinium OncoArray-500,000 BeadChip
Enables screening of 500,000 SNPs with a genome-wide backbone of 250,000 tag SNPs. Additional SNPs cover genetic variants for: breast, colorectal, lung, ovarian, and prostate cancers; ancestry; quantitative traits; pharmacogenetics; and fine-mapping of common cancer susceptibility loci.

Detects genetic variation in the human immune system. Integrates content from the HumanImmuno v1 BeadChip, supplemented with GWAS-identified loci for autoimmune and inflammatory disorders.

TaqMan genotyping assays allow low to medium throughput candidate gene and pathway genotyping studies. Predesigned or custom-designed TaqMan probes and target-specific primers are incorporated into real-time PCR assays run on Applied Biosystems Vii7 or Fluidigm Biomark HD Systems. The TaqMan assay can be used to independently validate genome-wide identified loci from microarray analysis.

Genomic DNA from residual diagnostic blood (Blood Specimen Research and Resource, BSRR) program and other resources is available. All requests should be submitted through the REDCap link in iLab. Following approval by the Data and Biospecimen Access Committee (DBAC), the request for sample distribution should be initiated through iLAB.

The iScan system is a high-precision, high-throughput fluorescent chip scanner used for genomic profiling of myriad Illumina arrays ranging from genotyping to DNA methylation analysis. The system is coupled to a robotic station that allows scanning of hundreds of array samples per day.
Users can reserve instrument time online through the PGC iLab. Scanning service is for assisted use only (i.e. users will not be allowed to scan their own chips). Users will not be charged for instrument time; all charges will be based on number of chips scanned.
