Overview
The ORION (Oncology Research and Immuno-mONitoring) core provides state-of-the-art immunoprofiling services including clinical trial immune monitoring, data analysis and technical consultation for assay design, as well as single service instrument use. Learn more about ORION.

ORION works with various biobanks across MD Anderson, including the Institutional Tissue Bank (ITB) to receive fresh tissue from clinical trials.
Impact
The ORION core aims to contribute to the scientific community in the fields of translational research and clinical trial immune-profiling. Through the use of advanced immune-centric technologies such as multiplex cytokine profiling and high dimensional flow cytometry, ORION has supported 26 clinical trial related projects including NCI and CPRIT funded studies and trials, investigator-initiated trials, and strategic alliance sponsored trials. In addition, ORION core services have expanded to include tumor tissue specific processing for single-cell transcriptomic profiling and exosome characterization with validation of multiplex fixed tissue profiling underway.
