What We Offer

• Perform reverse phase protein arrays on the samples received from customers
• Perform custom antibody validation using a reverse phase protein array
• Provide standard operating procedures needed for the extraction of proteins from cell lines and tissue for use in the reverse phase protein array studies
• Perform primary data analysis using custom software to determine signal intensity, curve construction and relative protein expression and modification
• Perform protein extraction from tissue or cell pellets, upon request (with additional charge), for use in the reverse phase protein array studies
• Provide updated list of antibodies for reverse phase protein array studies
  • Standard Panel containing ≥290 antibodies (for human and mouse cell line samples) and ≥240 antibodies (for mouse tissue/xenograft samples)
• Provide a turnaround time of 8 to 10 weeks from sample submission. However, based on workload or equipment failure, analysis may take up to 12 weeks. 

Pricing Details

• Prices are per sample for a panel of ≥290 antibodies (for human and mouse cell line samples) and ≥240 antibodies (for mouse tissue/xenograft samples), AND are subject to change. If an official quote is provided for a grant, we will honor the price quoted (provided the quote is generated within 6 months of sample submission). If the quote is more than 6 months old, or no quote was provided, the new rates will be charged.

• We will provide up to 4 Datasets free of charge. Any dataset request over 4 will incur a charge of $200/set. Any dataset requested after original data is sent out will also incur a charge of $200/set. 

Data Reports

• Each dataset includes your raw, normalized, and median-centered data, along with a pair of heatmaps (one supervised and one un-supervised).
• Essentially, how you want to see your data split up into heatmaps in considered a "dataset". If you have human vs. mouse samples, then your human samples might be on one dataset (dataset 1) and the mouse samples on a separate dataset (dataset 2), or if you have more than one experiment you want to compare within the same sample submisison.
• Note: When submitting mouse tissue or xenograft samples, the mouse antibodies will be excluded from your data due to major issues with the protein loading correction within the RPPA process from the cross-reactivity of the mouse antibodies with the mouse tissue.

Submission

1. Register for an account with iLab Solutions by clicking on https://mdanderson.ilabsolutions.com
2. Once your account is set up, request services through the RPPA Core iLab Page
3. Once your online request is fully approved, you will be notified by email to set an appointment time for drop off/shipment instructions (**Note that the submitter AND PI and/or Financial Manager of the iLab request will both have to log into their own iLab account and "agree" to the request before it is considered fully approved/completed**)
4. Label sample vials clearly on top in numerical order according to your sample list submitted online (Do not put labels/tape around the outside of the vials)
5. Pack samples on dry ice
6. Deliver/Ship to RPPA Core (after you coordinate a drop-off/shipment date by email)

• Your funding will need to be set up within your iLab account before you can request RPPA services online. 
• Your Financial Manager will need to give you access to the correct funding source, so please contact them beforehand.
