Ph.D. Students and Postdoctoral Fellows
The Zhang Laboratory welcomes highly motivated Ph.D. students and postdoctoral fellows interested in lung cancer biology, tumor evolution, immunology, and cancer prevention and interception. Our research integrates genomic, single-cell, spatial and computational approaches with experimental models and clinical studies to understand lung cancer development and translate discoveries into strategies for cancer prevention and treatment.
We are currently seeking postdoctoral fellows with expertise in either computational/bioinformatics research or experimental/wet-lab cancer research.
For computational/bioinformatics candidates, we are particularly interested in individuals with experience analyzing high-throughput sequencing data, including single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) and spatial transcriptomic data. Experience in cancer genomics, multi-omics integration, tumor immunology or analysis of the tumor microenvironment is highly desirable. Candidates should have demonstrated ability to independently analyze and interpret large-scale genomic datasets, with proficiency in R and/or Python strongly preferred.
For experimental/wet-lab candidates, we are particularly interested in individuals with strong training in basic and/or translational cancer research and substantial experience with mouse models of cancer. Experience in cancer biology, molecular and cellular biology, tumor immunology, and characterization of the tumor microenvironment is highly desirable. Experience with single-cell, spatial or other high-throughput profiling technologies is a plus.
