The Ishak lab is recruiting highly motivated individuals interested in cancer epigenetics and molecular biology. Dr. Ishak is particularly committed to helping trainees and early-career scientists of all backgrounds establish flourishing careers that will benefit the scientific and medical communities.
We have openings for the following positions:
Postdoctoral Fellow
- Recent Ph.D. with publication record demonstrating proficiency in designing, executing, and communicating projects focused on molecular biology, cancer epigenetics and/or immunology
- Candidates should have proficiency with CRISPR, cell culture, quantification of RNA/protein expression, and experience conducting low input epigenetic protocols such as CUT&RUN and/or ChIP-seq
- Bioinformatics experience that includes basic proficiency with R and/or python is preferred

Research Assistant II
- Master’s degree with no additional laboratory experience or bachelor’s degree with one year of demonstrated laboratory experience
- Candidates should have contributed to projects focused on molecular biology, cancer epigenetics, and/or immunology
- Successful candidates will be well organized and able to maintain laboratory inventories and protocols
- Candidates should have experience with tissue culture, RNA/protein expression quantification and mouse models

Senior Research Assistant
- Master’s degree with one year research experience or bachelor’s degree with three years research experience
- Preferred candidates will have made significant contributions to research focused on molecular biology, cancer epigenetics, and/or immunology, as evidenced by authorship on research publications
- Candidates must have strong organizational and laboratory skills to maintain overall laboratory operations including:
- Managing inventory, ordering supplies, and budgeting
- Training new lab members and performing standard wet lab procedures such as cloning, and protein expression and purification
