Dr. Abhijit Mazumdar is an associate professor of Clinical Cancer Prevention at UT MD Anderson. With more than 25 years of experience in cancer research, his work focuses on preventing aggressive forms of breast cancer, including estrogen receptor-negative and triple‑negative disease. Dr. Mazumdar’s research aims to identify new ways to stop cancer before it starts by targeting key pathways that drive tumor development and combining prevention drugs for greater impact. His work is supported by major federal and foundation funding and is dedicated to advancing practical, science‑based strategies for cancer prevention.

Jamal L. Hill is a research laboratory coordinator in the Mazumdar Laboratory at UT MD Anderson, supporting breast cancer research through sample preparation, experimental support and collaboration with investigators and laboratory staff. With over 20 years of laboratory experience, Jamal plays an important role in advancing studies focused on improving patient outcomes in breast cancer.
