Center for Global Oncology
The Center for Global Oncology was created to share M. D. Anderson’s expertise with health care providers worldwide. Partners benefit from our knowledge as a leading cancer center through access to leading edge technologies, patient treatment protocols, education, research and our unique multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
What We Do
The Center for Global Oncology (CGO) is tasked with the development, implementation and operation of all M. D. Anderson clinical, research and business activities beyond the main campus.
We develop extension and single discipline oncology programs. This includes the identification and implementation of co-branded relationships to provide clinical and academic programs. The three branches of CGO provide the following services:
- Global Academic Programs - sustains and promotes a high-quality global network of premier academic institutions that share our mutual goal of eliminating cancer through research, prevention, clinical care and education.
- Global Business Development - offers expertise to help build a co-branded extension. Services include promoting needed skill and expertise in cancer center management, construction of facilities, clinical processes, technology utilization, cancer center organization, market analysis and financial reviews.
- Global Clinical Programs - provides technical and medical expertise for developing oncology programs.
