Research
The mission of Taking Texas Tobacco Free, represented in some of the active projects listed below, is to promote wellness among Texans by partnering with healthcare organizations to build capacity for system-wide, sustainable initiatives that reduce tobacco use and secondhand smoke exposure among employees, patients and visitors.

The HEALTH–FAST Program is a targeted initiative to train talented postdoctoral fellows, early-stage investigators and doctoral scholars with the ultimate goal of recruiting and retaining a strong alcohol, tobacco and other drugs (ATOD) research workforce that can mitigate ATOD use and the chronic health conditions that result.
