North Campus
The North Core facility offers collections of reference books and protocols on-site, including hard copies of Current Protocols in Cytometry, many of which have been developed, tested, and performed regularly in the core. As a service laboratory, we are happy to assist our user, providing consultation and one-on-one training as requested. Please make appointments with our faculty and staff.
South Campus
The Core provides education and training for all users, from beginner to advanced. We provide one-on-one and small group-based instrument and analysis software training. The Core also consults on experimental design, including planning, methods development, and troubleshooting. Contact the Core at 713-563-3345 to ask about educational opportunities.
- Lab orientation: Offered weekly and required for new users.
- Analyzer training: Includes instrument and data acquisition software training. Users must provide experimental samples to train on the equipment. Please schedule additional time when training is needed.
- Sorter training: Cell sorter training is available to users who are experienced with BD FACSDiva Software. Please contact the Core directly to schedule cell sorter training.
- Data analysis: Training on a variety analysis softwares is provided upon request.
