Pharmacy Translational Research Fellowship

Translational Research Fellowship Program Goal

To provide cross-training in clinical pharmacy practice and pharmacology laboratory studies enabling the fellow, at the conclusion of training, to follow either an academic or industrial professional translational research track.

While the focus of the fellowship is the clinical pharmacology of new anticancer drugs primarily in gynecologic oncology the skills developed in this fellowship are applicable to development of any pharmaceutical class or specialty.  

Current Translational Research Fellow

Marisa Navo, Pharm.D., is a graduate of University of Houston College of Pharmacy. Dr. Navo’s research in the laboratory has focused on evaluating the safety and potential efficacy of complementary and alternative medications (CAM) agents for the treatment of gynecologic and breast cancers.
