CPRIT Summer Undergraduate Program

Join our program for outstanding undergraduate students interested in cancer research.

The Cancer Prevention & Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT) Summer Undergraduate Research program is a ten-week research program designed for outstanding undergraduate students who are interested in pursuing a career in cancer research.

This program provides students with interactive and fulfilling research experience in various laboratories and with very prestigious mentors at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Students will be given hands-on research training in cutting-edge labs, interact with faculty, postdoctoral fellows and graduate students, attend weekly events, lectures and seminars and the opportunity to present their work at a poster session at the end of the ten-week program.

Stipend

2012 CPRIT Summer Program Students 

Students will receive a stipend of $5,000/$500 per week worked for the ten-week program. Housing will be paid by the students from these funds. Paychecks will be issued on the 5th and the 20th of each month deducting the required federal tax. 

CPRIT Faculty Mentors

CPRIT scholar faculty mentors serve as direct supervisors for CPRIT scholars or as co-mentors on student advisory or supervisory committees. CPRIT faculty mentors participate in all aspects of the CPRIT training program, including formal instruction and supervision of research.
