Postdoctoral Fellow in Computational Biology
The Wang Laboratory at MD Anderson Cancer Center is a computational biology research lab. We apply innovative bioinformatics approaches to deeply profile tumor cells and cells of the tumor microenvironment as well as tumor-immune-stroma crosstalk at single-cell resolution and in the spatial context to better understand the mechanisms underlying early tumorigenesis, disease progression and the development of therapy resistance.
We are seeking multiple talented and highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellows with a strong background in bioinformatics and a passion for exploring the heterogeneity and evolution of tumor cells and tumor microenvironment (TME) using the state-of-the-art single cell and spatial multi-omics approaches.
Requirements: Ph.D. in computational biology, bioinformatics, quantitative science, biostatistics, data science, or a related field
Sr. Computational Scientist
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic senior computational scientist who will help develop and maintain the analytical pipelines for processing and analysis of single cell and spatial multi-omics datasets. A primary responsibility of this position is to conduct bioinformatics analysis and develop novel analytical methods and tools as needed to address key biological questions.
Requirements:
- Ph.D. in bioinformatics, quantitative science, biostatistics, data science, computational biology, or a related field
- Experience in processing and analyzing single-cell multi-omics, and/or spatial omics data
- Three years of experience in scientific software development
Graduate Students
The Wang Lab is actively recruiting graduate students. Students are always welcome to join us for a rotation in the lab, and are encouraged to email Linghua Wang, M.D., Ph.D., at LWang22@mdanderson.org to discuss the current active projects in the laboratory.
