Living Legend event in San Antonio honors Mack Brown, R.C. Slocum; benefits cancer research

Big 12 coaching legends Mack Brown and R.C. Slocum will be interviewed by the former president of CNN, Tom Johnson, at the fifth annual San Antonio A Conversation With a Living Legend®. The event will take place Monday, Nov. 10 at the Marriott Rivercenter Grand Ballroom (third floor), 101 Bowie St. The luncheon has raised almost half a million dollars for The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center’s Moon Shots Program, a comprehensive effort to accelerate the fight against cancer.  

10:30 a.m.     Media arrival and set-up on platform in back of ballroom. Mult-box 
                       available.

10:45 a.m.     Mack Brown and R.C. Slocum available for one-on-one interviews.
                       Conference Room 17, third floor. RSVP to contacts listed above.

11:15 a.m.     Media interviews conclude.

11:35 a.m.     Brown and Slocum enter ballroom. Announcements and lunch 
                       service begin.

12:30 p.m.     “Conversation” begins. MD Anderson staff will escort photographers 
                        to front of stage area during first five minutes of interview for close-up 
                        shots.

1:25 p.m.        “Conversation” ends.

Media arriving in standard size vehicles may self-park at the Marriott Rivercenter. Present credentials at media registration table on third floor for parking validation. The Marriott cannot accommodate vehicles taller than 6’6”. Offsite parking is available.
