Parking

When visiting M. D. Anderson, you have the option of valet, garage or remote parking. Fees are paid per exit. For information about a long-term visitor pass, garage and remote parking, call the Texas Medical Center Customer Relations Help Line at (713) 791-6161 from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.

For parking questions, comments or suggestions, call M. D. Anderson Parking and Transportation Services at (713) 563-PARK (7275), weekdays 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

TMC Security and Motor Assistance Program provides complimentary assistance to visitors 24 hours a day. TMC security officers help visitors find lost cars, unlock a car door, fill an empty radiator with water, put a gallon of gas in an empty tank, boost a dead battery and inflate a tire. Visitors should call (713) 795-0000 to reach a Security and Motor Assistance dispatcher.

Valet Parking

Valet Parking is provided at two major entrances:  

The Aquarium (Clark Clinic), Entrance 2: 24 Hours a day
Mays Clinic/CPB, Entrance 7: Monday - Friday, 5:30 a.m.-11:00 p.m.

Valet-parked vehicles can be retrieved at either of the two locations, regardless of which location the vehicle was originally parked. Flat rate: $15 daily.

TMC On-Campus Parking Rates

An enclosed skybridge links Garage 10 to the Main Building on the third floor near The Art Gallery and Garage 2 is located near The Fountain (Alkek Hospital).

Hours: 24 Hours a day

Remote & Off-Campus Parking Rates

The South Extension Lot is located half a mile from M. D. Anderson at 1522 S. Braeswood Boulevard. The Metro bus system operates a free shuttle throughout the day. The first shuttle leaves the South Extension Lot at 4:40 a.m. and the last shuttle leaves M. D. Anderson at 12:07 a.m.

Long Term Visitor Parking

If you are planning to park at the Texas Medical Center for five or more consecutive days, we encourage you to purchase a TMC Visitor Pass. The discounted pass offers unlimited 24-hour in-and-out access.

5-day passes are $52.00 / 7-day passes are $77 / 30-day passes are $198.00. Passes can be purchased at the following locations:

Helpful Parking Pass Information

• Pass is activated on first use - either in or out of the garage
• Pass allows unlimited 24-hour in/out access for five or 30 consecutive days, as applicable
• Pass must be used in sequence to enter and exit the garage - a ticket should never be pulled
• Hold the card up to the reader box located at the entrances and exits of the garage to activate the gate arm
• There are no replacements for lost cards or refunds for unused parking.
• The card will expire on midnight of the last day

Mays Clinic/CPB Patient & Visitor Garage

From Holcombe Boulevard, enter Bertner Avenue at Entrance Marker 5 and look for the entrance to the garage on the right.

Hours: Monday-Friday, 6:00 a.m.-Midnight
Closed: Weekends and Holidays

Buses & Other Transportation

M. D. Anderson visitors who do not have their own cars have several transportation options:

M. D. Anderson shuttle vans can take patients to different parts of the institution. Guests at Jesse H. Jones Rotary House International can ride a shuttle van to any location within a 1.5-mile radius of the Texas Medical Center (TMC)

Houston's METRO system can take riders virtually anywhere in town they want to go.

Rental Cars: M. D. Anderson patients and their travel companions are eligible for auto rental discounts from Enterprise Car Rental (in Houston only). Reservations made be made through Patient Travel Services 1-888-848-9992 (5-2303 if calling from within M. D. Anderson). Enterprise can be reached directly by calling 800-593-0505 or 713-520-5558. Airport Shuttle: Supershuttle.com provides transportation from Bush Intercontinental and Hobby airports to the Texas Medical Center and other central areas of Houston. Call 800-BLUE-VAN (800-258-3826) for information and reservations.
