Head and Neck Services
The Regional Care Center in Katy provides comprehensive services with a multidisciplinary team of specialists whose focus is on treatment of patients with tumors of the head and neck. Our team of surgical oncologists, medical oncologists and radiation oncologists are all board-certified and faculty members at MD Anderson Cancer Center.
These specialty-trained clinicians work closely together to provide a treatment plan designed for you with the added convenience of being closer to home. Our head and neck surgeon is fellowship trained in head and neck surgical oncology, which provides additional specialty training in the treatment of both benign (non-cancerous) and malignant tumors of the head and neck.
Multidisciplinary Care
A multidisciplinary treatment approach is used as your team of medical oncologists, radiation oncologists and surgical oncologists meet weekly to ensure you get the most effective treatment possible for the following diseases:
- Melanoma and other aggressive skin cancers
- Thyroid cancer
- Parathyroid tumors
- Upper aerodigestive tract tumors (oral and throat cancers)
- Salivary gland tumors
We offer the most advanced treatments currently available for benign and malignant tumors of the head and neck:
- Comprehensive management of benign and malignant tumors of the upper aerodigestive tract, including mouth, tongue, and throat
- Minimally invasive endoscopic surgery, including transoral robotic surgery
- Head and neck reconstruction including free tissue transfer
- Intensity-modulated radiation therapy
- Access to clinical trials
- Comprehensive management of aggressive skin cancers
- Sentinel lymph node biopsy for melanoma
- Comprehensive management of benign and malignant thyroid and parathyroid tumors
- Comprehensive management of salivary gland tumors
