Leukemia Center
M. D. Anderson's Leukemia Center treats thousands of adults and children with leukemia and hematologic diseases every year, building on expertise that has earned international recognition. In addition to standard treatments, patients have access to dozens of innovative clinical trials testing new drugs and therapies.
Diseases treated at the Leukemia Center include:
- All types of leukemia (acute and chronic)
- Myelodysplastic syndrome
- Myeloproliferative disorders
- Anemias
- Some types of lymphoma
Time is of the essence when treating some acute leukemias. Our Fast-Track clinic helps assess new patients quickly and coordinate their care as an outpatient. An on-site pathology lab allows for faster turnaround on test results.

Patients can be referred to the Leukemia Center for cancer diagnosis, treatment or screening.
