Sarcoma Medical Oncology

The department of Sarcoma Medical Oncology is a team of highly specialized medical oncologists, physician-scientists, advanced practice nurses, physician assistants and research nurses who treat patients with localized or metastatic sarcoma.  Our mission is to deliver the highest quality patient care by providing the most advanced medical therapies, opportunities to participate in clinical trials, and aggressive management of any side-effect a patient may encounter.

Our overall goal is to improve survival and quality of life. Research scientists are working to find better therapies, optimize current therapies, reverse chemotherapy resistance, and gain an understanding of why highly effective therapies work so well. The Willie Tichenor Fellowship Programs is available to train future generations of sarcoma medical oncologists.
