The International Center is Your Gateway to M. D. Anderson

If you’re one of the patients who come to M. D. Anderson from outside the United States each year, the International Center can help you make a smooth transition. Our staff understands the cultural and linguistic needs of international patients and offers a variety of services to meet those diverse needs.

On your first visit, a representative will help you find your way to appointments, complete registration forms, understand how the care centers work and inform you of special services. You also will meet with a financial counselor, who can help make financial arrangements for your care.

We can answer questions about how to make the most of your stay in Houston. If you have concerns, anxieties or fears about diagnosis or treatment, we can help resolve them. The International Center takes care of the details, so you can focus your energy on fighting  cancer.

We can help even before you arrive in Houston. Your care representative can discuss, in your own language, the personal items and medical records you will need to bring, any necessary pre-visit financial arrangements, transportation and any other special needs.
