Confidential Consultations
Individual confidential consultations with any faculty member concerning:
- Stress
- Access to relevant resources
- Managing conflict
- Family concerns
Consultations can also be performed with teams or groups within a department or with the entire faculty.
Counseling with the Faculty Assistance Program
The Faculty Assistance Program offers three confidential sessions with an outside consultant. Family members are also eligible for the service. You may schedule your appointment directly with the consultant. For more information, visit the Faculty Assistance Program (MD Anderson intranet).
Educational Presentations
Educational presentations can be provided to your department on concerns you identify as relevant, e.g., techniques for stress reduction, conflict resolution, signs of depression or burn-out, balancing home and work, maintaining resilience and getting good sleep.
Meditation and Tai Chi
Weekly sessions of meditation and Tai Chi are offered to faculty and staff.
Presentations on Health and Well-Being for Departmental Retreats
Interactive programs or formal presentations of any length can be prepared for departmental meetings and grand rounds.
Special Events
Institution-wide programs are offered with speakers of national prominence on topics relevant to faculty health and well-being.
