Leica TauSTED Xtend Super-Resolution Microscope DEMO
April 1–14, 2025
Location: 2SCR3.3123
To schedule time on the system, contact Dr. Collene Jeter at cjeter@mdanderson.org or Anna Zal at mazal@mdanderson.org
Features:
- Dual modalities: laser scanning confocal or Stimulated Emission Depletion (STED) super-resolution microscopy
- Fluorescence lifetime microscopy (FLIM) to separate crosstalking fluorophores by lifetime
- Tau-STED (FLIM-STED) to minimize laser powers for STED super-resolution imaging for live-cell compatibility
- FRET-FLIM to assess protein-protein interaction directly by change of donor lifetime in presence of acceptor
- Galvo or resonant scanner for highest resolution or fastest scanning
- Simultaneous imaging of up to 15 channels with Spectraplex
- Incubation chamber for live imaging
Applications:
- Nanoscale imaging beyond the diffraction limit by STED super-resolution microscopy
- Dynamically assess cellular processes, such as mitochondrial fission/fusion, cytoskeletal rearrangements,
- antibody binding and uptake etc.
- Analysis of 3D and 4D protein proximity and processes of macromolecule assembly
- Morphometric, quantitative and dynamic analyses of organelles and other subcellular structures
- Resolve chromatin topography and conformational changes in 3D nuclear organization
- Interrogate oncogenic signaling in cancer
- Dissect mechanisms and mediators of exocytosis and vesicle transport
Event hosted by Collene Jeter, Ph.D., director of the Advanced Microscopy Core , MD Anderson Cancer Center.
