Survivors Say: Wayne Bray
World War II veteran Wayne Bray, of La Marque, Texas, served in the U.S. Air Force. He is retired from International Motor Corporation, where he served as president from 1986 to 1987, and has been active in Scottish Rite Freemasonry and Shriners International.
Cancer has touched me and my siblings. My brothers had prostate cancer and my sister had breast cancer. All of my brothers, along with one of my uncles, were treated at MD Anderson at the same time and under the same doctor. I’m elated that I had an opportunity to come to the institution for my own prostate cancer treatment. It’s the best cancer hospital in the world. When I was growing up, if we had more than we needed, we gave it away. I can’t give millions, but it all adds up, and I’m excited to be a part of that. I’ve been a contributor for several years, and I’ll continue to be for as long as I live.
