Pain Management Center
Working With You to Successfully Manage Your Pain
In the United States alone, millions of people suffer from cancer pain. However, many people do not report their pain or seek appropriate treatment. The Pain Management Center is dedicated to finding the best treatment options for patients with cancer pain. To do this efficiently, we offer two different services to provide care. The Cancer Pain Service works with both inpatient and outpatients to manage their pain. The Postoperative Pain Service assists patients that have pain after surgery.
Appointments
Patients are primarily referred to the Pain Management Center from other services at MD Anderson. However, outside referrals are accepted. We work with patients who have acute, chronic or cancer pain. On a case-by-case basis, we also treat non-cancer pain.
