MD Anderson Cancer Center wishes to thank the many quilters, quilt shops, quilt guilds and vendors that supported the 2011 Online Quilt Auction.

Quilts Inc. has been a strong supporter of the quilt project and auction. Director of Publications & Public Information, Bob Ruggiero, and New Media Coordinator, Rhianna Griffin, have provided marketing and promotional support; featured an article on the auction in the Friends of Festival newsletter (Winter 2011); arranged for the Quilt Project to have a booth in the Special Exhibits Section of the annual International Quilt Festival – Houston, and reached out to vendors for in-kind support.

A very big thank you to Angela Crissman who wrote an impressive article on the Ovarian Cancer Quilt Project and auction. The article has been featured in the Houston, Katy and The Woodlands Lifestyles & Homes magazines.

Tremendous support has been provided by local area quilt guilds that donated quilts and helped spread awareness about ovarian cancer. Thanks to Venetta Morger and the Woodlands Area Quilt Guild and to Francie Baxter and the Quilt Guild of Greater Houston. Venetta and Francie have been great leaders of the project.

Cherrywood Fabrics and Moda Fabrics, Inc. donated teal and peach fabrics for the 2011 online quilt auction. As a result of these donations, 65 quilt tops were created during the September 2010 Quilt Sew-In.

Special thanks to Sun Flower Quilts' shop owners, Jill and Logan Rimes, who planned and coordinated the Fall 2010 Quilt Sew-In. They have tirelessly offered support and guidance.

Also special thanks to Little Stitches Sewing Center, whose customers donated quilt blocks this year and made several beautiful quilts which have been donated to the 2011 online quilt auction.

A big thanks to those who have volunteered throughout the preparation for the upcoming auction. MD Anderson volunteers, employees, patients, survivors and quilters have dedicated their time to this very important cause.

And, the auction website would not be possible without the technical support of Gina Samuel and quilt photographer, Kimberly Willis.
