Education Credentials Obtained Outside U. S.

Applicants for trainee positions at M. D. Anderson who earned degrees or obtained educational credentials outside the United States that will be used to meet the minimum education requirement for the position of consideration must submit a credential evaluation prior to the extension of an offer. Only evaluations conducted by a member agency of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services will be accepted, with the exception of those submitted by physicians applying to GME programs.* All expenses to obtain the evaluation will be the responsibility of the candidate. If you have already obtained a credential evaluation from one of the NACES member agencies listed, you may submit an original of that evaluation as issued by the agency to comply with M. D. Anderson institutional requirements. An ECFMG certificate will not substitute for a credential evaluation.

* For physicians applying to GME programs only, evaluations from the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO) may be accepted. In our experience, AACRAO has been the only agency accepted by the Texas Medical Board for licensure application requirements. GME applicants who do not plan on obtaining a license from the Texas Medical Board may use any of the credentialing services listed below.
