Annual Postdoctoral Science Symposium (APSS)

3rd Annual Postdoctoral Science Symposium
August 1st 2013
Onstead Auditorium, MD Anderson Cancer Center

The Annual Postdoctoral Science Symposium (APSS), initiated and organized by the MD Anderson Postdoctoral Association, provides a platform for postdoctoral fellows in the Texas Medical Center to present their current research in the areas of basic and translational research. In addition, APSS features presentations and hosts interactive sessions lead by experts in the field. Postdoctoral fellows will have the unique opportunity to learn, interact and foster new collaborations during APSS.

This year, we welcome Dr. Irving Weissman from Stanford University School of Medicine as our keynote speaker. Other distinguished speakers include Dr. Renata Pasqualini from MD Anderson Cancer Center and Dr. Michael White from The University of Texas Southwestern.

In addition, APSS will feature breakout forums focusing on advanced technologies used in cancer research at MD Anderson Cancer Center. There will be an open research poster session outside of the Onstead Auditorium throughout the day. Platform presentations given by selected postdoctoral fellows will highlight some of the best cancer research done around the Texas Medical Center.

We encourage all postdoctoral fellows to submit an abstract to showcase their innovative research. Even without submission, postdoctoral fellows are still strongly encouraged to register and participate in the APSS. Registration is free and lunch will be provided.
