The mission of MD Anderson GLBTN is to establish a network of individuals who will identify the issues and concerns of GLBT employees and students, focusing on MD Anderson’s core values and mission.

Social Events
The Student Affairs Office hosts a number of social events that are organized to bring together educational trainees of all levels throughout the institution to provide networking opportunities in an informal setting.

Student Governance
The Graduate Student Association (GSA) of the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences (GSBS) provides a student forum for discussion of common needs, works cooperatively with the faculty and administration to build a recognized and respected institution and develops student fellowship and social activities.
Representation on the Joint Student Affairs Council (JSAC)
The JSAC exists to assess student needs and improve student services.
Representation on the MD Anderson Alumni and Faculty Association Steering Committee
This steering committee serves to improve the services and continued connectivity to alumni, which includes current and former trainees and students.
