SciVal Experts and Funding
SciVal Experts
We are building research relationships between faculty at MD Anderson and at our Sister Institutions, and have deployed SciVal Experts (www.mdanderson.org/scivalexperts) to make it easier for investigators to locate people with shared interests. This tool compiles a researcher’s government grants and peer-reviewed publications and generates a searchable, public profile. Researchers seeking collaborators can then search the database by research concept in order to find researchers with matching interests. Our implementation includes researchers from our Sister Institutions.
SciVal Funding
A complementary tool to the Experts profiles is SciVal Funding, which identifies suitable funding opportunities based on your track record, as well as current ideas, and alerts you to it. This tool is available only behind the MD Anderson firewall, and is open to anyone working at MD Anderson, regardless of whether they have a SciVal Experts profile or not. It is available at www.funding.scival.com, requires the creation of a profile and sign up. You connect your Scopus profile to the Funding tool, add new things that you are working on which may not be reflected in your publications yet, and set your preferences on how often you wish to be notified of opportunities.
If you would like to learn more about either of these tools or if you would like to schedule a demonstration in your department, please contact us at GAP@mdanderson.org.
