Pharmacy Fellowship in Oncology Research
The Division of Pharmacy at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center offers a two-year post-Pharm.D. fellowship in pharmacy research. MD Anderson Cancer Center has more than 600 inpatient beds and more than 5,100 outpatient clinic visits per day. The fellowship is designed to provide training in laboratory research, clinical services and clinical research.
Through required and elective learning experiences the fellow will gain the knowledge, skills and abilities to practice in research-focused patient care settings. Under the direction of Mark Kramer, Ph.D., R.Ph., and the program coordinators, the fellow will complete learning experiences as follows:
- Development of analytical techniques
- Pre-clinical and clinical research study design
- Pharmacokinetic/ pharmacodynamic modeling
- Oncology clinical pharmacy practice
- Clinical research
- Presentation and publication of scientific data

An on-site interview is required and will be scheduled in January or February.
Required: The applicant must possess a Pharm.D. degree and must have completed a PGY1 pharmacy residency. Licensure in the state of Texas is required. The fellowship is a two-year program with a start date in late July.
