Member Information

Individuals eligible for membership in the MD Anderson Alumni and Faculty Association include:

  • Current and former members of MD Anderson’s medical or basic science faculty
  • Fellows, residents, graduate students and undergraduate students who have completed or are currently involved in an organized program at MD Anderson (for at least six months)
  • Members of the administrative staff who are elected to membership by the MD Anderson Alumni and Faculty Association Steering Committee

All current and former faculty and trainees with at least six months of cumulative faculty, trainee or student activity at MD Anderson are automatically members of the Alumni Association. If you wish to search for fellow alumni members or update your record, you may register for access to the online member directory.

Education Fund

The purpose of the Education Fund is to provide educational opportunities to our members. To date, this fund has been used to provide trainee excellence awards and to co-sponsor multidisciplinary seminars. Future plans for the fund include undergraduate scholarships and postgraduate trainee fellowships. Members are encouraged to make tax-deductible contributions to the fund, which is comprised entirely of private donations.


The Alumni and Faculty Association's quarterly newsletter, The MD Anderson Connection, currently arrives at the door of all alumni members as an insert in the Conquest magazine.  In the Fall 2009, the newsletter will be posted on this website in an electronic-only format.  Please inform us of your professional and/or personal news you would like for us to post by sending us an E-mail message to
