Why haven't we cured cancer?
Hope for the possibility of a cure has existed as long as the disease. But when will it occur and what will a cure for cancer look like?
Recently, MD Anderson President Ronald DePinho, M.D., joined National Institutes of Health Director Francis Collins, M.D., Ph.D., for a forum at The Aspen Institute, an educational and policy studies organization based in Washington, D.C. They also explained how new discoveries and accelerating technologies provide an optimistic outlook.
