Today MD Anderson submitted a letter to CPRIT related to CPRIT’s request for application and ultimate granting to MD Anderson of the first incubator infrastructure award. In its letter, MD Anderson shares plans to establish an internal business process for future commercialization award submissions, and also makes two proactive recommendations to CPRIT. First, it offers to resubmit its business plan for any additional review that CPRIT may deem appropriate. Second, reflecting confidence in the Institute for Applied Cancer Science, it suggests that CPRIT may place the funding in an escrow account for one year, until MD Anderson fulfills the obligations called for in the contract to be finalized between MD Anderson and CPRIT.
