The Jack and Beverly Randall Endowment helped establish an annual prize that honors innovations in cancer research and excellence in patient care, alternating annually.
In 2015, the inaugural award and accompanying $100,000 cash prize went to distinguished faculty member Andrew Futreal, Ph.D., chair, ad interim of Genomic Medicine and co-leader of MD Anderson's Moon Shots Program.
Awards such as the Randall Prize help encourage MD Anderson faculty to engage in world-class cancer research and treatment.
