Our Services

The Regional Care Center in The Woodlands offers many of the same patient services as the main campus, with more being added every day. We want to assure patients that they are getting the same world-class standard of care in a comforting community setting.

Diagnostic Services

The Regional Care Center in The Woodlands offers complete suspicion of cancer services. If you have a lump or other troubling symptoms, we can let you know whether or not it is cancer and provide treatment and management of your condition, no matter what the diagnosis.

Clinical Services

Medical oncology and hematology: We treat a wide variety of solid tumors, leukemia, lymphoma, and benign blood disorders.

Intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) with linear accelerators equipped with the industry’s latest technologies.

Surgical oncology: Our surgeons are board-certified and fellowship-trained, with expertise on the most advanced, minimally invasive cancer surgery techniques.

Breast surgical oncology: Our breast surgeons are specialists who are dedicated and especially trained to provide diagnosis and treatment for benign and malignant diseases of the breast.

Outpatient chemotherapy: Services are provided in comfortable treatment suites with easy access to the clinic and free parking.

Clinical trials: As a pioneer in cancer research, MD Anderson offers access to hundreds of clinical trials, many of which are available exclusively at MD Anderson.

Pain management: Up to 75% of cancer patients will experience pain at some point during or after their treatment. Managing cancer-related pain close to home means a quicker return to normal life.

Laboratory services: Services include regular blood work for chemotherapy patients and diagnostic blood work for those with a suspicion of cancer. Lab services are available at all regional care centers for all MD Anderson patients, regardless of their treatment location.

On-site pharmacy: Our team of pharmacists can provide your treatment-related medications for maximum convenience.

Patient Support Services

At MD Anderson, we know that the cancer experience includes more than just treating the disease. The Regional Care Center in The Woodlands offers a range of support services to help all of our patients achieve maximum quality of life both during and after cancer treatment.

New patient navigation team: Our caring staff wants to make your experience the best it can be. Patient specialists can help with coordinating paperwork, appointment scheduling, patient education and communicating with your family physician.

Lymphedema therapy: Patients with lymphedema will receive specialized therapy and self-help education to manage their condition.

Nutritional support: Maintaining a proper diet during cancer treatment is essential for a successful outcome. Professional dieticians provide nutrition assessment and education for all patients.
