Maps & Wayfinding
“Wayfinding” – the experience of getting to and around a place.
The Access wayfinding system is here to help you find your way at MD Anderson. Access uses pathways, landmarks, signage and other tools, such as maps, to help guide you to and around our large campus.
Please visit the Access Internet site at access.mdanderson.org for customized driving directions, walking directions after your arrival, and information about your appointments.
Look for pocket-sized wayfinding maps located near touch screen directories at building entrances. Staffed information desks are located at the four primary public building entry points, including:
The Aquarium (Clark Clinic) - Main Building, Floor 1
The Art Gallery - Main Building, Floor 3
The Fountain (Alkek Hospital) - Main Building, Floor 1
The Tree Sculpture - Mays Clinic, Floor 2
Information desks are staffed from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday.
There are 25 public landmarks in the Access system.
