Center for Professional Development & Entrepreneurship

1 Main Campus (1MC)The Center for Professional Development & Entrepreneurship, located in the Mid-Campus (1MC) Building, supports the professional development and entrepreneurial goals of the MD Anderson Cancer Center and UT health campus communities.

As a global leader in clinical care, MD Anderson is a pioneer in the development of new technologies, expertise, and research that is helping transform the biomedical healthcare landscape. These capabilities, and the scientists and physicians developing them, are a valuable resource in many government, academic, and industry settings.  The CPD&E provides insights and guidance as to the different roles and possibilities for researchers and clinicians in these various settings, as well as strategic consultation surrounding potential entrepreneurial pursuits.  Through curricular offerings, advising services, and practical resources, the CPD&E helps raise awareness and facilitates connections between our internal community and external opportunities.

The CPD&E also serves as a point of contact for leading organizations from across the Bioscience Enterprise Sectors (see categorization), so that together we may explore, identify, and enhance areas for collaboration.  By providing different ways and opportunities to engage, we support the flow and exchange of ideas, technologies, and talents.  This helps to strengthen the quality of our educational offerings, and provides external organizations with valuable access and insights into the leading edge techniques and capabilities being developed here.

For more information, please email CPD&E at cpde@mdanderson.org.
