MDAPET Breast Lesion Study

Breast Phantom with Lesions (FDG)

A reconstructed image slice of 16cm (left) and 11.5cm (right) breast phantoms with four lesions with SUV of 2.8. The sizes of lesions are 3mm (top), 4mm (right), 5mm (bottom) and 6mm (left). The data were acquired with the MDAPET camera in the breast configuration.

Whole-Body Mode Axillary Lesion Detection

Reconstructed images of four axillary lesions with SUV of 5. The sizes of lesions are 4mm, 6mm, 8.5 and 11.5mm. The four lesions were taped to the axillary area of a torso phantom. The data were acquired with the MDAPET camera in the whole body configuration.

Breast Mode - Lesion Detectability

This figure shows the required standard uptake value (SUV) for detecting a lesion with a given size for FDG PET study of the two breast phantoms. The data were acquired with the MDAPET camera in the brain configuration.
