MDAPET Brain Lesion Study
Hoffman Brain Phantom with 8.6 mm Lesion (FDG)

Two reconstructed image slices of the 3D-Hoffman brain phantom with an embedded 8.6 mm lesion. The ratio of activity concentration of the lesions to gray matter was 1.5. Even at this low activity ratio the 8.6 mm lesion was observable. Data were acquired with the MDAPET camera.
Hoffman Brain Phantom with 3mm and 5mm Lesions (FDG)

Two image slices of the 3D-Hoffman brain phantom with embedded 3 mm and 5 mm lesions. The ratio of activity concentration of the lesions to gray matter was 5.8. Top (bottom) images were reconstructed with 3DRP (3D-OSEM) algorithms. The 5 mm lesion is observable even at activity ratio of 2.2.
