Sequencing

Illumina HiSeq 2500 
Our primary next-generation sequencing platform that features two run modes—rapid-run and high-output. The high-output mode utilizes two flow-cells with 8 lanes each and provides up to 12 Gb of sequencing data per lane. This is our standard mode, and is perfect for larger studies with more samples or when the greatest depth of coverage is required. Rapid-run mode provides quick results, efficient processing of a limited number of samples and longer paired-end 150 bp reads, but is more expensive.

Illumina MiSeq
A small-scale next-generation sequencing platform, providing up to 8.5 Gb of sequencing data and 
2 × 250 bp runs.

Illumina cBot 
Creates clonal clusters from single-molecule DNA templates, preparing them for sequencing by synthesis on the HiSeq.

Library Prep

Covaris s200
A precision, high-output sonicator that mechanically shears DNA and RNA to a desired size range.

SPRI-TE
An automated liquid handling system capable of library construction and nucleic acid extraction; can process up to 10 libraries at a time.

Biomek NXP
A high-throughput automated liquid handling system capable of library construction, nucleic acid extraction and more; can process up to 48 libraries at a time.

Blue Pippin
A preparative electrophoresis platform that separates and extracts DNA automatically in buffer according to software-input target ranges.

Quality Control

Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer
A microfluidics-based platform for sizing, quantification and quality control of DNA and RNA.

Agilent 2200 TapeStation  
An agarose gel-based platform for sizing, quantification and quality control of DNA and RNA.
