Cancer Research Training in a Unique Setting
The Department of Molecular Carcinogenesis offers world-class cancer biology research training at the graduate and postdoctoral levels. We also offer summer internship opportunities for outstanding high school and undergraduate students. Our laboratories focus on diverse aspects of cancer biology including molecular mechanisms of carcinogenesis, epigenetics, cancer stem cells, and development of normal and neoplastic cells. Located in Buescher State Park near Smithville, TX – a short drive from Austin – the Science Park campus provides a unique setting for education in basic cancer biology.
