PA Training Programs

Physician Assistant Student Elective Rotation

MD Anderson Cancer Center provides elective rotations to PA students from schools across the country. Clinical elective rotations are available in various oncology and cancer-related disciplines.

We are currently accepting applications for rotations March 2016 through May 2016.

Please note: A new electronic medical record will roll out at MD Anderson in March 2016. Due to the complexity and challenges of adapting to a new EMR, we may accept fewer students for March and April rotations. If applying for a March or April rotation, we encourage you to provide alternative rotation dates.

Postgraduate Physician Assistant Program in Oncology

MD Anderson offers the only clinical fellowship program in oncology for physician assistants.  This is a one-year program designed to develop the next generation of adult oncology clinicians with the skills necessary to provide outstanding patient care by training PA fellows in multidisciplinary settings with practical hands-on training and supportive supervised practice. This program is accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc.
