Integrated Ethics Observer Program

Observership Program Components

The intent of the Integrated Ethics Observers Program is to extend the benefit of MD Anderson’s expertise in cancer care ethics to (other than rare instances) individuals who are currently practicing professionally outside of the Texas Medical Center (TMC) and the United States to globally enhance awareness of cancer care ethics.

Reciprocally, the Section of Integrated Ethics in Cancer Care and MD Anderson benefits through the expertise of international experts regarding ethical concerns in global cancer treatment and research, thereby enhancing its cultural knowledge-base enabling MD Anderson to ethically serve international patients at a greater level.

Observer programs are tailored to the individual, and appointments can extend up to a maximum of six months, determined by the agreed-upon goals and objectives of the individual and the Section of Integrated Ethics.
