Fellowship Programs

Advanced Head and Neck Surgical Oncology Fellowship

The Advanced Head and Neck Surgical Oncology Fellowship offers one-, two- and three-year advanced fellowship positions. Training is provided through either the Clinical Investigator Pathway, for those interested in clinical research, or the Physician-Scientist Pathway for those interested in translational or basic science research. 

Head and Neck Surgical Oncology and Reconstruction Fellowship 

The Head and Neck Surgical Oncology and Reconstruction Fellowship is a two-year program offered jointly by the Department of Head and Neck Surgery and the Department of Plastic Surgery at MD Anderson.

Maxillofacial Prosthetics and Oncologic Dentistry Fellowship

The Maxillofacial Prosthetics and Oncologic Dentistry Fellowship is a fourth year-level program for board-qualified prosthodontists. Participants are trained in all aspects of managing and treating oncologic dentistry patients.

Oncologic-based Maxillofacial Implant Fellowship

The program director is Theresa M. Hofstede, DDS, FACP. The program is sponsored by Astra Tech and the Department of Head and Neck Surgery.

Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship

The Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship provides two years of advanced training in surgical and medical treatment of patients with diseases of the orbit, eyelid, ocular adnexae and lacrimal drainage apparatus, and in reconstructive surgery of the ocular and periocular region. This fellowship is now administered through the Department of Plastic Surgery. 

Surgical Endocrinology Fellowship

The Surgical Endocrinology Fellowship provides advanced training in surgical endocrinology. Fellows are trained in the treatment of patients with endocrine neoplasias, and emphasis is given to the evaluation, surgical approach, follow-up and genetics of endocrine tumors.
